两国建交，赠送国礼，大多以瓷器为主。但在2016年起，习主席发出了“文化复兴”的口号，以注重中国最根本的传统文化书画艺术为导向，开始了文化强国的道路。书画是中国任何艺术表现形式的根源与基础，如果没有书画艺术，难能在中国艺术中出现百花齐放的局面。

而童艳杰作为故宫博物院的修复术师，她义不容辞的响应国家号召，担负起推广中国书画艺术的使命。一次偶然结识了斯洛伐克大使杜尚·贝拉先生，在大使先生的极力邀请下，童艳杰的迎新个人画展于2020年12月11日在斯洛伐克大使馆顺利开展。
As a restoration technician of the Palace Museum, Tong Yanjie is duty-bound to respond to the national call and shoulder the mission of promoting Chinese painting and calligraphy. I got acquainted with The Slovak Ambassador Duane Bela by chance. At the strong invitation of the Ambassador, Tong Yanjie's new students' exhibition was successfully held in the Slovak Embassy on December 11, 2020.
童艳杰是中国女子画院副院长，也是中国有实力有担当的艺术家，此次在斯洛伐克大使馆举办画展受到了社会各界人士的关注，同时此次也为中斯两国人民的相互了解和友好感情发挥积极作用。
Tong Yanjie is the vice president of The Chinese Women's Painting Academy and a responsible Chinese artist. Her exhibition held in the Slovak Embassy attracted the attention of people from all walks of life and played a positive role in promoting mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.
童艳杰的作品品位高雅、格调不凡，内涵丰富、意境博大，非常令人感动，尤其是悬挂在中心展厅的巨幅作品《中华魂》特别令人钦佩。《中华魂》以长城为表现对象，将长城绵延万里，屹立千载而不倒的雄伟气势表现的淋漓尽致，表达了中华民族艰苦勤奋、坚韧刚毅、开拓进取和充满向心凝聚力、维护统一、热爱和平的民族精神，是民族的支柱，国人的脊梁。作品无论笔意、笔境、笔象，都体现出博大的艺术境界和精神内涵，情寄民族之信心，国家之未来，世界之和平，是抒情达意之极致，具有无限的内在张力。
Tong Yanjie's works are elegant in taste, extraordinary in style, rich in connotation and broad in artistic conception. They are very touching, especially the huge work "Chinese Soul" hanging in the central exhibition hall, which is particularly admirable. The Soul of China takes the Great Wall as the object of expression, the Great Wall stretches for thousands of years, but does not fail to show the magnificent momentum incisively and vividly, expressing the Chinese nation's hard work, perseverance, pioneering and enterprising, full of cohesion, unity, peace loving national spirit, is the pillar of the nation, the backbone of the people. The works, no matter the brush strokes, the brush scenes and the brush images, all reflect the broad artistic realm and spiritual connotation. The feeling of confidence in the nation, the future of the country and the peace of the world are the acme of lyrical expression, with infinite inner tension.
在展览现场中，很多外籍来宾多对这幅《中华魂》表现出的那种喜爱之情，这不仅说明中外文化理念、艺术审美是相通的，同是也表达了各国人民的心灵、情感，以及对和平的热爱是相同的。在2020年这样一个不平凡的岁月中，举办这个展览就是为了构建交流的桥梁，听取外国友人对中国传统文化的认知和理解，更好地传承友谊，表达中国人民对中斯友好和对各国人民战胜疫情的坚定信念。
At the exhibition site, many foreign guests showed their love for the Painting, which not only shows that Chinese and foreign cultural concepts and artistic aesthetics are interlinked, but also shows that the hearts and feelings of people of all countries are the same as well as their love for peace. In such an extraordinary year as 2020, the purpose of holding this exhibition is to build a bridge of communication, listen to foreign friends' cognition and understanding of China's traditional culture, better carry forward the friendship, and express the Chinese people's firm faith in china-Sri Lanka friendship and the people of other countries' victory over the epidemic.
