颜茂钦，1937.3-，字班师，号知足老人，籍贯浙江永康，大学文化工程师。1965年毕业分配主动要求去边疆工作，为云南以礼河、西洱河、洛泽河及西藏玉曲河的电力发展、文化提高、经济振兴做出卓越贡献。在洛泽河电站竣工庆典大会上，昭通地委说:"是颜工的呕心沥血，为边疆人民修建了这座永恒丰碑。"

1997年回乡后的二十多年来，先后获颁“共和国拓荒者”、“共和国优秀儿女”、“共和国杰出专家”、“全国劳动英模”称号及其荣誉勋章。

2015年获颁“世界和平艺术家勋章”;

2019年获颁法兰西艺院“世界殿堂级艺术家”称号;

2020年8月获“世界文艺巅峰成就奖”，授予“世界当代十大顶级
