邓玉平,1937年出生于湖南一书香门第。9岁开始临帖,父辈的严格要求,家庭文化环境的熏陶,使他对祖国传统文化有了浓厚兴趣和执着追求。湘潭市书法家协会会员,中国楹联学会会员,中国楹联学会书法艺术研究会会员,艺术专业委员会理事会副主席,特聘客座教授,中国书画家联谊会新文艺群体书画家工作委员会副秘书长,醴陵窑手绘工艺大师,画圣吴道子艺术馆名誉馆长,中国企业文化促进会企业艺术家工作委员会副秘书长,中国国礼艺术家。《中国文化百年巨匠》荣誉称号。《中意典藏*国际献礼——楊振宁、柳传志、邓玉平、袁隆平四人专集》《众志成城*艺坛先锋——邓玉平、苏士澍、靳尚谊、范迪安书画四人集》《精湛艺术献给党——范迪安、邓玉平书画二人集》将相继面世。
