六岁开始跟随母亲(从亊绘画)凃鸦,后由母托人刘开渠(原校长)進杭州艺专国画班(旁听生10岁因年龄不够)考试不计分,旁听生4年,后回新登县分水县读书,62年蒋介石反攻大陆被征南京军区某部任指挥无线報务员丶炮兵群班长丶排长丶指挥所所长等聀(並参加过越战抗美援越)。后响应周恩来总理号召浙、皖、苏三省对调,从部队赴安徽徽州(今黄山市)公安机关军事管制委员会工作,后被安徽省公安厅选送去高等学府沈阳警校读书丶刑事现场绘画丶文字鉴定丶屍体检验等课程,后在黄山公安机关负责刑事案件侦查工作干了二十三年,当过多年领导,期间拜范曾为师后又师从黄胄等,八十年代近末因老母年迈调桐庐不久离开检察机关,继续从事国画研究与艺术应为人民抒情直于绘画至今,从事弘扬传统的国画要耐得住寂寞丶守得住贫寒......"这是一种无条件的从事......!再说:人的一生,在整个人类历史的长河中,只是一个瞬间,作一个从事书画艺术的人来说 ,总应该给后人留下一点什么?而不是为了索取什么,应该毫无愧言地说:吾生是为了画,而不是画为了生.".....!
