单耀宗号南山居士,婺州牧人。浙江省金华人,自十岁就接触绘画启蒙,速写人物,动物,山水及写生。自幼聪颖,心摹手写,醉心画技,青年时期曾遍寻名师,在动荡的年代更是坚持绘画,以画笔坚持本心,牛棚,农场,不惧条件艰辛,只求内心追求之富足,深受名家感动,曾得李苦禅、李可染、朱屺瞻、蒋海齐等大师,亲自授艺,师承真传于齐派、李苦禅、岭南派,长安派,海派,博采众长,集百家之精华。专攻花鸟,兼人物、山水、动物,是少有的全项兼得之大师,数十年如一日,沉浸墨彩之中。

Shan Yaozong is a resident of Nanshan and a herdsman of Wuzhou. He was deeply moved by famous artists. He once won masters such as Li Kuchan, Li Keran, Zhu Qizhan and Jiang Haiqi, and taught art personally. He learned from Qi School, Li Kuchan School, Lingnan School and Chang 'an School Specializing in flowers and birds, as well as figures, landscapes and animals, he is a rare master who has had both. He has been immersed in ink for decades.

动物画以大型动物——老虎、狮子、猴、羊、马、牛、猪等。特别是几十米的工笔长卷,都以大型动物老虎、狮子、猴、羊、马、牛、鹿、狗、熊猫、熊、松鼠、白鹤、鸡等为对象。画风以齐派和岭南派、海派、长安派为基础,演变自己的独特风格。画法以工带写,动物花鸟大写意和工笔画各具特色。墨虾一绝,曾的齐白石关门弟子、忘年交高中大师高度赞扬,并写诗评画说:“齐派画虾出高人”。自创重彩工笔大景花鸟画,用生宣纸直接作画,其画法深得海内外行家赞扬。作品被国内许多大收藏家收藏主要流向美国、新加坡、法国、意大利、韩国为主。作品多次获得国内外书法大展,获得许多金,银,铜等奖项。

Painting style is based on Qi School, Lingnan School, Shanghai School and Chang 'an School, evolving its own unique style. Painting is written with work, and freehand brushwork of animals, flowers and birds and fine brushwork have their own characteristics. The ink shrimp is a special skill, which was highly praised by the former disciple of Qi Baishi and the master of high school who forgot to pay the New Year's greetings. He wrote poems and commented on the paintings, saying, "Qi School draws shrimps out of superior people". Self-made flower-and-bird painting with heavy color meticulous painting and direct painting with raw rice paper has won praise from experts at home and abroad. His works have been collected by many big collectors in China, mainly to the United States, Singapore, France, Italy and South Korea. His works have won many calligraphy exhibitions at home and abroad and won many gold, silver and bronze awards.
